The heartbreaking photos of a poor grandpa who is driving a trike to earn a living despite his old age elicit comments from the netizens.
A Facebook user named Reynald Velardo has shared the heartbreaking photos of a poor grandpa driving a trike to earn money despite old age. The post garnered various reactions from the online community.
Velardo met an elderly traysikad driver named Virgilio Janiola who is roaming around San Fernando, Pampanga to find passengers. Reynald was in a hurry during that time and he noticed the old man driving slowly.
The guy also noticed a signage at the trike with words written “Kaunting pasensya, matanda na ako”. He tried to understand and took pity towards the hardworking grandpa who is still working despite his old age.
“Minsan nasakyan ko siya, malakas kasi ang ulan. Nagmamadali ako, pero ang bagal niyang magmaneho, tapos bigla kong nakita iyong nakasulat sa wheeler niya sabi: ‘Kaunting pasensya, matanda na ako.’ Naawa ako, kaya pinatabi ko muna doon sa malapit sa barangay hall para makasilong kami hanggang tumila ang ulan.” Velardo said.
Reynald also revealed that Lolo Virgilio has rheuma and lucky to earn from P100-P200 per day. Kind-hearted netizens who want to send help could visit the barangay hall of Barangay Lourdes in San Fernando, Pampanga to see the trike driver.
