Matteo Guidicelli had this encounter with a director
Actor-singer Matteo Guidicelli revealed that a director got angry at him because of what he did on the set of a teleserye.
For showbiz newbies, being scolded by a director or senior co-stars is quite a normal scenario on the set. Matteo also went through this stage when he was just starting his career in the entertainment industry.
In a recent interview with PEP, the husband of Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo revealed that during the time when he did the series Agua Bendita 14 or 15 years ago with Andi Eigenmann, director Malou Sevilla got angry at him. That was one of his first-ever teleseryes.
It was because of a scene under the scorching heat of the sun as he and Andi were on the beach. The character of Matteo Guidicelli in the said soap opera was bling and his line was “Agua, Agua, mata ko lang ang bulag hind ang puso ko.”
He said that the scene took three hours to shoot because he could not say that line properly. “Grabe, sabi ni Andi ‘ano ba yan Matteo?’” the actor shared what his leading lady said back then.
Matteo shared that he was scolded by the director. He was told that he should have done his assignment before the shooting. Matteo Guidicelli said that he was not fluent in speaking Tagalog back then and so that happened.
“I’ve gone through all of that,” he said. For Matteo, that was part of his journey in showbiz and he has learned from that. Meanwhile, the actor-singer said that he would understand his co-stars who are showing “attitude” on the set.
