Vico Sotto Explains How To Urge People To Get Vaccinated Vs Coronavirus
VICO SOTTO – Pasic City Mayor Vico Sotto explains that the best way to urge the public to get vaccinated is through word of mouth.
Amid the coronavirus pandemic, countries are ramping up their vaccination campaigns. Some are using rewards or raffles only available to those vaccinated. Meanwhile, others focus on creating advertisements for the masses.
But, for Sotto, its only as simple as word of mouth. During an interview with ABS-CBN, the Pasig City Mayor said:
Ang pinaka-effective para kumbinsihin ang mga tao, word of mouth pa rin talaga…
Nakukumbinsi ang tao pag nakita niyang may kakilala siyang nabakunahan. Ang doctors namin more than 90 percent nagpabakuna agad, ‘yung (confidence ng) nurses namin umakyat ng 80 percent kagaad
Currently, Pasig has used over 500,000 vaccine doses for first-dose individuals. Meanwhile, more than 50,000 second doses have been administered. On the other hand, around 2,527,286 Filipinos out of a target of 58 million had already been vaccinated versus COVID-19.
As such, over 10,065,414 vaccine doses were administered. Following this, the government still aims to achieve herd immunity by the end of the year.
