Lady Suspect Arrested for Scamming Stores Around Tondo, Manila Using the Same Modus
TONDO, MANILA – The police authorities arrested a lady suspect for scamming several stores around Metro Manila.
A 20-year-old female suspect has been arrested by the authorities for attempting to run away from the store after receiving the P8, 500 cash in her digital wallet. The woman did not pay before leaving the store.
The store owner identified as Apple said that her child is the one who manages the store during time that time. The lady suspect told the victim to send the cash first to her digital wallet before the payment.
“Minamadali niya yung bata, tinataranta niya. ‘Send mo na. Diyan lang naman ako.’ Wala siyang mask, maganda, so sabi nung anak ko kaya siya nagtiwala,” Apple said.
Aside from Apple, several people filed a complaint against the suspect for allegedly victimizing them using the same modus in Tondo, Manila. The female thieve is using the same modus since 2019, according to the victims.

Don Bosco police station commander Police Lieutenant Rowell Robles said that suspect admitted her crime. “Lima sila eh. Pero yung apat kasi hindi fresh case. Yung isa lang ang fresh. Ayaw naman mag-reklamo, Ni-release namin siya sa [mga kamag-anak].” Robles said.
The suspect made an agreement with the victims who were demanding a total amount of P35, 000. She also give her mobile phone and jewelries as payment.
Robles said that other victims could go to police station to file complaints against the culprit.
