Maris Racal shares details of her love story with Rico Blanco
Actress-singer Maris Racal shared the story from the time she and Rico Blanco started their music collaboration until it became a blooming romance.
Maris and Rico are among the popular showbiz couple nowadays. Despite the big age gap between them, many showbiz fans expressed “kilig” to their relationship.
In an interview by PUSH, Maris shared that she wanted to collaborate with Rico because she knows that he has a lot to contribute when it comes to her music. The actress-singer admitted that her skill in writing songs was developed because her boyfriend helped her.
“Nung bata pa ako nag-start na akong magsulat ng songs but I never really focused on it kasi start na rin yon ng career ko sa acting and all. Mahirap kasing mag-focus sa dalawang malaking bagay and I can say na nahanap ko or naka-collab ko si Rico sa right time na marami na akong nasulat na songs,” she shared.
Maris was happy when Rico liked what she wrote and the latter would also give her advice regarding songs that she should release that are according to her age.
“There are times din na may gusto akong gawin na he really said, ‘I think hindi pa ito ang tama na songs na i-release sa age mo kasi I think meron pang mas bagay sa age mo. Kasi I want your followers or your fans to grow with you as well but at the same time release some music na mas bagay,’” Maris Racal shared.
When asked if being in love helped her music endeavor, Maris said that finding love was not in the equation at first.
“Biglaan na lang siyang nangyari. Parang hindi namin in-expect yon na mangyayari. Our collaboration was only for music lang and then may surprise na nangyari,” she shared.
