Trash to Cashback Program Launched in Quezon City to Help Residents Amid COVID-19 Pandemic

Quezon City has launched their Trash to Cashback program wherein the residents could earn money through their trash.

The Trash to Cashback program is the newest project of Quezon City particularly by Novaliches District Center. The residents could trade their trash for environmental points, which could be used to buy foods at various merchants.

1 kilogram of karton is equivalent to three environmental points, a kilogram of colored recyclable plastic materials such as shampoo containers are equivalent to 13 points. A kilogram of clear plastics like alcohol gallon has an equivalent of 18 points.

Quezon City Launches

Pet bottle is worth six points per kilogram, shampoo sachets are only one point per kilo, shredded papers like bond and newspapers are ranging from one to three points per kilogram.

The interest individuals could bring their recyclables at trash to cashback drop off and exchange in Novaliches District Center. The points can be used to buy foods and groceries from different merchants at bxtra.com.ph.

The partner restaurants and shops can be seen at the website wherein they could use their environmental points.
