PAGASA Says Southwest Monsoon Would Bring Cloudy to Rainy Conditions Over Parts of the Country

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the southwest monsoon would bring rains over some parts of the country.

On Monday (June 21, 2021), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The southwest monsoon would continue to affect the country’s weather condition.

The southwest monsoon would bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over the provinces of Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Aurora, Apayao, Benguet, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao and Abra.

The localized thunderstorms would bring cloudy weather conditions over Western Visayas, Occidental Mindoro and Palawan including Kalayaan Islands. The remaining parts of Visayas would have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

The weather agency also advised the public to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods and landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water conditions over the Northern and Central Luzon including Aurora province would be moderate to rough. The rest of the country would experience slight to moderate surrounding sea condition.
