PAGASA Says Habagat and High-Pressure Area to Affect PH Weather

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the country would have a fair weather but habagat would bring cloudy condition with isolated rains.

On Friday (June 18, 2021), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather updates in the country. The southwest monsoon would continue to affect the country’s weather condition.

The southwest monsoon or locally known as habagat would bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Bicol Region, Northern Samar, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque and Romblon.

The ridge of High Pressure Area is expected to affect the remaining parts of Luzon. the localized thunderstorms would also bring similar weather conditions over the Entire Visayas, Occidental Mindoro, and Palawan including Kalayaan Group of Islands.

Metro Manila and the rest of the Philippines would also experience the same weather condition. Possible flash floods and landslides are also expected due to severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over the Extreme northern Luzon be moderate to rough. The remaining parts of the archipelago would experience a slight to moderate surrounding sea condition, according to PAGASA.
