Pokwang did this to avoid negative reactions
Actress-comedienne Pokwang turned off the comment section of her Instagram account after it was announced that she signed a contract with GMA Artist Center.
Pokie has been under the management of ABS-CBN for several years. However, in a recent interview, she said that she already asked the permission of her former home network to leave. This happened back in 2019, before the pandemic, and before the Kapamilya network was shut down due to the franchise renewal issue.
She also admitted that it was her own initiative to approach the management of the Kapuso network regarding her career move. Pokwang stressed that she is thankful that GMA accepted her and she is looking forward to having good projects with other Kapuso stars in the future.
This decision of the actress-comedian received happy comments from her friends in the entertainment industry. However, Pokie admitted that she received negative comments as well. She just chose to ignore those who are bashing her for her network transfer. She stressed that she needs to work for her dreams and her dreams for her family.
Following her network transfer, Pokwang turned off the comment section of her Instagram account which was not the thing before. She wrote this caption to inform her social media followers: “maraming salamat po @gmanetwork @artistcenter excited sa mga magaganap soon… mag off po muna ako ng comment chu chu may mga NEGATIBO SA BUHAY AT KITID UTAK NA NAGMAMATALINO, Gusto ko lang naman maging masaya habang nag hahanap buhay para sa pamilya at mapasaya tunay kong taga suporta at hindi mga NEGA! Salamat sa mga nakakaunawa at sa mga hindi naman problema nyo nayan.”
