For this year’s Father’s Day, Kiko Pangilinan and other Pinoy fathers displayed how protective they are of their daughters.
KIKO PANGILINAN – Senator Kiko Pangilinan, Richard Yap, Anthony Pangilinan, and Janno Gibbs describe the traits of a man they want for their daughters.
No man is deserving of someone’s daughter. This perspective is the perspective of a protective father. The father is the first to have a hold of his daughter, who loves her first, who taught her first, who kissed the forehead first, who corrected her first mistake, and many other firsts. He fed her, he provided for her, he sheltered her, and he raised her. He protected her and he will for sure for the rest of his life.
This is why men must understand this. It will never be easy for a father to give his daughter to another man. For a father to be able to do this, the guy must have had something in him and something he has that made him earn the respect of a woman’s father.
And for these Pinoy fathers, it takes something special in a man before they can approve him for their daughters. For actor Richard Yap, the one he sees deserving of his daughter Ashley Sandrine Yap must be well-bred and has good moral character. He should work hard and have goals in life to ensure that he can provide in the future.
He wanted someone who can take care of and love his daughter the way they do. For Senator Kiko Pangilinan, the man should be “God-fearing, loves, respects, and values his parents and family”.
As for Janno Gibbs he wanted someone who can make his daughters smile and a person who can treat them with respect. He also added that the person must be handsome like him. And for Anthony Pangilinan, he believes that people look for someone that they aspire to be.
Such, as for him, is putting big pressure on the guy. He shared as per PhilStar, “The problem is when we put a high standard that we do pursue ourselves. Then both the suitors and our daughters avoid us! But when we co-journey with them, it’s magic.”
