Here’s what Richard Gomez and Lucy Torres said about Juliana and Miggy
Ormoc City Mayor Richard Gomez and Leyte Representative Lucy Torres reacted to the rumored relationship of their daughter Juliana Gomez with athlete Miggy Bautista.
Juliana has become a topic of recent showbiz write-ups when her photo with a non-showbiz guy circulated online. In the photo, the two of them were sitting close to each other on a sofa while Miggy was kissing the shoulder of Juliana.
With this, netizens asked if the two are now a couple. Entertainment columnist Ricky Lo wrote in his recent article in The Philippine Star that he asked Richard Gomez and Lucy Torres about this.
Lo revealed that Jian Miguel “Miggy” Bonnevie Bautista is an award-winning athlete from Ateneo de Manila University. He is a member of the National Fencing Team and has won a prize at an event in Switzerland.
Miggy’s mom is a relative of prominent actress Dina Bonnevie. The columnist texted the Ormoc City Mayor and his wife asking this: “May boyfriend na pala si Juliana?”
“Ganun ba? Wait, let me confirm with Lucy. OMG! Hahahahaha!!!” the actor-politician replied to Lo. In a phone call a few minutes after the text message, Richard said, “They are getting to know…”
The reply of Lucy Torres to this was, “Hahahaha!!! At her age, most probably she’s seeing someone, getting to know each other.”
Richard Gomez admitted that the photos of Juliana and Miggy were taken at their home during the dinner he hosted for the fencing team. “They will be back in Ormoc anytime now to train for two more months,” the actor-politician, who is also a sports enthusiast shared.
