CLAUDIA BARRETTO – Newbie artist Claudia Barretto is musically inclined but is also open to do some acting in the near future just like Julia Barretto.

Daughter of former actress Marjorie Barretto and comedian Dennis Padilla is Claudia Barretto who is inclined to write and create music. She’s Gretchen and Claudine‘s niece and really, being in show business runs in her blood. Her older sister Julia Barretto is currently among the most controversial actresses in the country.

Recently, she joined Viva’s stellar roster of artists and creatives where her sister Julia is also belongs. Through the years, she was able to appear in a Thai film where she portrayed a young Filipina singer, have released a single written by Moira Dela Torre called “Stay”, and one of the featured artists in “Better Days” along with OneRepublic.

And her artistry is now seemingly budding to something great. Added under her belt now is her latest single and first digital release with Viva Records entitled ‘Nothing To Do’. It will be released on Friday, June 18. She wrote it with rapper Curtis Smith.

Is she open to doing acting just like her sister? Claudia expressed a response affirming it. She would want to act her own story and play herself. She shared, “I would want it to have something to do with my music. I would want to be the star of the story that I’m narrating.”

And if she ever decides to act, she believes she must prepare herself for it.

Aside from that, she’s also interested in directing and do scriptwriting. She dreams to have her writings be put into life. She feels like song-writing and scriptwriting might be two different things but also similar in some aspects, such as a way of story-telling.
