19 Fastfood Staff Arrested for Refusing to Give Free Burgers to Cops

LAHORE, Pakistan – Around 19 fastfood staff has been arrested for refusing to give free hamburgers to a group of cops.

19 employees of Johnny & Jugnu sa Lahore have been arrested after allegedly refusing to give free hamburgers to the police officers after a high profile visitor arrived. Most of the workers were university students.

The crews have been detained for seven hours last Saturday (June 12, 2021) leaving no one to attend the kitchen and customers, according to the statement of a crew of Johnny & Jugnu sa Lahore.

Last Monday (June 14, 2021), senior provincial police official Inam Ghani announced on his Twitter post that the nine police officers have been suspended from their duties.

“This is not the first time something like this has happened with our kitchen teams at our restaurant, but we want to make sure this is the last,” the establishment said.

The accusdd police officers of Pakistan were notorious for corruption and extortion. The cops were allegedly asking kickbacks from the local businesses in the area.
