The foreigner also complained that the corrupt policeman reportedly urged him to pay P20,000 for allegedly violating the traffic rules and regulations. The cop claims that it was the fine for his involvement in the road accident.

PNP-HPG chief Police Brigadier General Alexander Tagum said that they would not tolerate such behavior. He also said that they aim to remove corrupt cops from their positions.

“The public expects much of us law enforcers and what Gutierrez did has no excuse. The HPG is grateful for the victim’s trust so we could ensure that such a person will be held accountable for his crime,” Tagum said.
