Julia was previously embroiled in controversy online after many videos and photographs of her eating ‘isaw,’ a Filipino street snack, reappeared after she claimed in a recent YouTube vlog with her boyfriend, Gerald Anderson, that she had never eaten this particular street food.
Due of the uproar, netizens naturally called out the actress. Some internet users discovered information on her and accused her of lying. When she admitted those things in front of her partner, they claimed she was being pabebe.
Julia Barretto’s “isaw” controversy has resurfaced when an old interview with Vice Ganda’s “Gandang Gabi Vice” aired. In the video, the Phenomenal Star asks her and her former love team Enrique Gil if they’ve experienced “Betamax” (grilled chicken blood) and “isaw.”
The young actor told Vice that he already tried “isaw” but have yet to try “Betamax.” Meanwhile, for Barretto, she has yet to try both street foods.
