PAGASA Says ITCZ To Bring Cloudy & Rainy Conditions Over Parts of PH

The state weather bureau PAGASA released the latest weather update and reported that the ITCZ would affect the country’s weather condition.

On Saturday (May 29, 2021), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration reported that the Intertropical Convergence Zone would bring cloudy condition and isolated rains over some parts of the country.

The Intertropical Convergence Zone would bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Bicol Region, Northern Samar, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque and Romblon.

The localized thunderstorms would also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers/thunderstorms over the entire Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Group of Islands and Occidental Mindoro.

Metro Manila and the remaining parts of the archipelago would also experience similar weather condition. The ITCZ and localized thunderstorms may also cause possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms in the affected areas.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over the whole Philippines would be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.
