PAGASA: Fair Weather in Luzon, ITCZ to Bring Rains Over Visayas & Mindanao

PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Thursday (May 27)

The state weather bureau PAGASA said that fair weather is expected in Luzon while ITCZ would bring rainy condition over Visayas and Mindanao.

On Thursday (May 27, 2021), the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The easterlies and intertropical convergence zone would affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA said that the Intertropical Convergence Zone would bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Bicol Region, Northern Samar, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque and Romblon.

The ITCZ cloudy condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Central Visayas, provinces of Negros Occidental, Leyte and Southern Leyte. The easterlies would also bring similar weather conditions over rest of Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Group of Islands and Occidental Mindoro.

A low-pressure area has been spotted at 2,489 kilometers east of Mindanao but would not yet affect the country. The localized thunderstorms would affect Metro Manila and rest of the country.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Luzon, Visayas and Occidental Mindoro, and Palawan including Kalayaan Islands as well as Mindanao would be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.
