YouTuber Arrested For Animal Cruelty After Tying Dog To Helium Balloons

YOUTUBER ARRESTED – An India-based YouTuber known as Gaurav Sharma got arrested for animal cruelty after tying his dog to helium balloons and making it fly.

Although it looks cute an innocent enough, there’s a high risk of danger for the dog. As such, viewers of the video immediately called authorities on Sharma.

In the video, you could see a small Pomeranian believed to be owned by Sharma. There were several helium-filled balloons attached to the animal as Sharma stands on the roof of his car then letting the dog go. Afterward, the dog floats up into the air in an apartment block.

The video was then reported to the Malviya Nagar police station leading to authorities searching for the man. Eventually, he was arrested with charges on animal cruelty.

Although the dog wasn’t harmed during the video, people still expressed concern that the dog was in danger. Sharma said that he deleted the video after getting so much negative feedback. However, the clip still went viral everywhere else.

According to an article from Unilad, Atul Thakur, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) said:

The complainant alleged that a person by the name of Gaurav Sharma had made a video where they were seen to have tied their pet dog with helium balloons and later they let loose the balloons thereby making the dog fly in the air and hence, risking its life. The video was shot on May 21.

Following the arrest, Sharma posted a new video where he apologized for his actions. Moreover, he insisted that there were several safety measures in place before he did the stunt. But, he did promise not to “try such things again”.
