Cops Arresy Newly-Released Prisoner After Caught Snatching Mobile Phone

A newly-released prisoner returned to jail after he has been arrested for snatching a mobile phone in Pasay City.

A delivery rider named Rafael Batislaon together with his child were traveling along Andrews Avenue in Pasay City when a male suspect apprehended their L-300 van and pull out a knife and point it at him.

The suspect took his mobile phone at the dashboard and immediately ran away at an alley. The victim reported the incident to the barangay. The barangay officials immediately chased the culprit.

Eventually, the officials successfully arrested the ex-convict who has been identified as John Michael Cabe. However, Cabe denied the allegations and explained that he was just released from prison last January.

Barangay 184 Tanod Fernando Pakinggan reported that it was not the first that Cabe has been involved in robbery. The suspect has been caught for several times but the complainants withdraw the complaints after recovering the stolen items.

Batislaon failed to recover his mobile phone, which he needs for his job as a delivery employee of a courier company.
