Here’s what Morissette Amon said about this particular song she recorded
Asia’s Phoenix Morissette Amon said that having the chance to record this song is the “shiniest moment” in her career in the Philippine music industry.
In this generation of singer, indeed, Morisette is one of the most popular names. Her talent is not just being recognized in the country but also in other parts of the world.
Based on the article in Inquirer Lifestyle, there was one particular song that became a highlight in Morissette’s career and it is the “Akin Ka Na Lang”.
“I think my shiniest moment in my career was when I was also asked to interpret by Star Music for ‘Himig Handog’… ‘Akin Ka Na Lang,’” the singer said.
She found her silver lining when she did make it to the finals of The Voice Philippines. That opened the door for her to be the interpreter of the said song. Though having singing stints in Cebu where she and her family lived was a good thing, for Morissette, it was a wonderful chance to sing an original song as it was then attached to her name.
“From there, I think also it’s really the song… It really opened a lot of opportunities. What really lifted me high a little more was being able to put out an original song, which is [that], ‘Akin Ka Na Lang,’” the Asia’s Phoenix said.
Meanwhile, Morissette Amon added a new milestone in her music career as she was chosen to record the new version of the song ‘Shine’ for its 25th anniversary. It was recorded by Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez in the past for a TV commercial.
