Morissette Amon is hoping this thing would happen
Asia’s Phoenix Morissette Amon talked about the current relationship she has with her family, as well as her relationship with fiance Dave Lamar.
Back in 2019, a conflict between Morissette and her family, especially with her father Amay Amon, surfaced. Allegations circulated that the singer left their home because of her father’s “panananakit”.
During a recent episode of I Feel U, the singer was asked about the current status of her relationship with her family, based on the article in Bandera. “Okay naman po sila. To be honest, hindi pa rin kami nakakapag-usap. But I’m just continuing to pray for the healing of our relationship, our family,” Morissette Amon said.
Despite this, she said that she is thankful that she has Dave in her life now. Morissette and Dave got engaged in September of 2020. She shared that her fiance is not just her partner in life but also a partner in her career.
When asked about her engagement, Morissette said that she is happy. “Ako, I am just also very grateful and blessed na ang aking fiancé po is yung mismong tao na nagpu-push sa akin and tumutulong sa aking new music na nilalabas. Editing, coloring, ilaw, siya po lahat naghe-help sa akin,” she added.
Meanwhile, the singer also shared her journey in The Voice Philippines, especially when she did not make it to the finals. She said that it was painful that she was eliminated because she was aiming to be on the top at that time.
Morissette even shared that her last song Who You Are in the said competition has a great effect on her. She said that she does not want to hear that song anymore. There was a phase in her life that she almost gave up on singing.
However, after that unsuccessful stint, there came plenty of opportunities for her.
