Morissette Amon talked about Regine Velasquez
Asia’s Phoenix Morissette Amon revealed what Asia’s Songbird did when she was faced with “maraming issue” in the past.
Regine is one of the senior singers in the Philippines who showed admiration for Morissette’s talent. To recall, there was a rehearsal in 2019 when the Songbird and her husband OPM icon Ogie Alcasid threw their shoes when Morissette was rehearsing her part.
It is because of how good the younger singer performed her part and this amazed her fans for receiving that reaction from the prominent singers.
There were also times that Regine would defend Morissette against bashing after issues being raised. During the walk-out issue that the Asia’s Phoenix in a concert, the Songbird chose to show compassion to her fellow singer when she was asked about this.
In a recent interview with ABS-CBN, Morissette Amon expressed gratitude to Regine Velasquez She also revealed what the Songbird did for her amid the issues involving her.
“I’m very grateful for Ms. [Regine] support for all artists. Pero sa akin, sobrang akong nat-touch, even sa social media nga na maraming issue, Ms. Reg was actually one of the people who messaged me if I was okay, so lagi akong nat-touch,” Morissette said.
Meanwhile, Morissette Amon has recorded the song Shine that was first recorded by Regine Velasquez. She said that it was challenging since the song was “already a hit, it’s a winning masterpiece, and it’s an anthem.”
“Everyone knows this song so I think for me just really putting my truth to it, and as someone who relates to it, how will I sing it?” she added.
