PAGASA: Warm Weather Expected in Luzon, ITCZ to Affect Visayas & Mindanao

PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Thursday (May 20)

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that Luzon would have a warm weather condition while ITCZ would affect Visayas and Mindanao.

On Thursday (May 20, 2021), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The easterlies and the Intertropical Convergence Zone would affect the country’s weather condition.

The Intertropical Convergence Zone would bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over the entire Visayas and Palawan including Kalayaan Group of Islands.

The Easterlies or localized thunderstorms would bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms Occidental Mindanao. The residents in the affected areas are also warned of possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Meanwhile, most parts of Luzon would experience a hot and humid weather condition aside from partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains in Metro Manila and remaining parts of Luzon due to localized thunderstorms.

The coastal water condition over Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro as well as the entire archipelago would be slight to moderate, according to the weather agency.
