PAGASA: Luzon to Experience Hot Weather, Easterlies to Bring Rains Over Rest of PH

PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Monday (May 17)

The state weather bureau PAGASA said that Luzon would experience hot and humid weather condition while the easterlies would bring rains over the rest of the country.

On Monday (May 17, 2021), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather updates in the country. The easterlies would continue to affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA said that the easterlies would bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over the provinces of Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Aurora, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Abra, Benguet Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union and Pangasinan.

Bicol Region, Northern Samar, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque and Romblon would also experience the same weather condition. Visayas and Mindanao would have isolated rainshowers.

Luzon would continue to experience hot and humid weather but isolated rain showers and thunderstorms are expected during the afternoon and evening.

The weather agency warned the residents in the affected areas for possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over the Northern Luzon and Aurora Province as well as the rest of the country would be slight to moderate.
