2 Men Caught Stealing Power Cables in Jones Bridge Ermita Arrested

Police authorities arrested two (2) men who were caught in the act stealing some power cables at Jones Bridge in Ermita Manila.

Two men were arrested at Jones Bridge in Ermita, Manila, on Tuesday for allegedly stealing a power cable. Officers were on patrol when they came across the two at the bridge’s foot.

They used a cutter and an improvised knife to cut the power cord for the bridge light. One of them was discovered to be an Ermita native, while his 22-year-old colleague hails from Taguig.

They were known for stealing in their respective barangays during the investigation. They are also said to be jobless, leading them to engage in criminal activities such as stealing cable and selling its copper.

They are also being investigated by police to see if they were involved in any other robberies in Ermita. Theft charges will be filed against those arrested.

Meanwhile, robbers were found robbing patients at Naga COVID-19 isolation facility and were arrested. The suspects were apprehended after stealing five smartphones from COVID-19 patients at an isolation center in Naga City’s South Poblacion.

According to the previous article, the perpetrators carried out their criminal activity while the victims slept in isolation quarters. The guard saw the criminals but was unable to apprehend them.
