Thai superstar Mario Maurer was asked about Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo and here’s what he said about the Pinay beauty queen.

Rabiya has mentioned in the past that she is a big fan of the actor who is known in the Philippines for his movies Crazy Little Thing Called Love, PeeMak, and the one with Erich Gonzales, Suddenly It’s Magic.

Based on the article from The Philippine Star, during a recent virtual press conference for his TNT endorsement with fellow Thai superstars Nonkul Chanon and Gulf Kanawut, Mario was asked about Rabiya.

He was asked if he knows that Rabiya Mateo is one of his big fans in the Philippines. “Yes, I heard that,” Mario Maurer said. Then, the Thai actor shared his message for the representative of the Philippines in the most prestigious beauty pageant in the world.

“I wish her good luck because I heard that she’s in the competition so I wish she have a good luck,” he said. Aside from Mario, Rabiya also received inspiring messages from Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo and her husband Matteo Guidicelli.

The beauty queen from Iloilo City has been vocal that she is a Popster and that she has memorized the songs of the singer who she admires. Rabiya was thankful that Sarah, along with Matteo, shared their kind words for her.

Meanwhile, the name of Mario Maurer became controversial in the Philippines last month because of the demand letter from his camp that was sent to comedienne-singer Kakai Bautista who was to talk about the Thai actor’s name anymore in public.
