Free Cakes & Cupcakes Distributed by Community Pantry in Barangay 583, Manila
MANILA – A community pantry in Barangay 583, Manila distribute free cakes and cupcakes for the residents in the area.
Barangay 583 in Manila has been filled with sweeties after the Sangguniang Kabataan or SK group launches a community cake pantry. Aside from regular foods, the group is also giving free cakes and cupcakes.
SK kagawad Mae Pascua baked more than 100 pieces of cupcakes, which comes in different flavors for her 24th birthday. They also baked different types and colors of cakes, which gives joy to the recipients.
Other community pantries regularly uses the theme “kumuha ayon sa pangangailangan” but the cake pantry has a theme of “kumuha ayon sa blood sugar”. The organizers said that they just wanted to make the residents happy amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The community pantries in different parts of the country become the fortress of the less-fortunate Filipinos who can’t provide food for their families amid the health crisis. The program has already helped thousands of our countrymen.

Community pantries are offering free grocery products, vegetables, fishes, pork meats, chicken, fruits and other goods. Most goods came from the donations of kind-hearted netizens. The Barangay 583 is still accepting donations.
