This is why Vhong Navarro was uneasy being with Ogie Diaz before.
VHONG NAVARRO – Showbiz reporter and comedian Ogie Diaz has this revelation about Vhong Navarro not liking him before.
The sitcom Pwedeng Pwede of Kapamilya network ran from 1999 to 2001 where the featured stars are Robin Padilla, Redford White, Nida Blanca, Kris Aquino, Palito, Vanessa del Bianca, and Marissa Sanchez. This is also the same show that Ogie Diaz and Vhong Navarro became co-stars.
However, just recently revealed by Diaz, he teased a blind item where an actor has accordingly disliked him a couple of decades ago which made them working together an awkward situation. He said, “Meron isang artista na kapag nakikita ako, e, yumuyuko. Ayaw niya akong makita. So, nung nagkaroon kami ng sitcom, nalungkot siya nung nabalitaan niyang kasama ako sa sitcom.”
In a report from PEP, the reason behind is accordingly because of his profession as showbiz reporter and once reported something about an issue involving him. He got offended over it, thus, his discomfort and uneasiness whenever he’s around. He confronted Navarro about it before because he doesn’t want their situation affect their work and his work as a comedian in the show.
He told the dancer before, “Ayoko lang na may katrabaho na mabigat ang loob sa akin kasi masisira yung brand of comedy ko kung alam kong may kasama akong tao na ayaw sa akin.”
By being humble in doing so, Ogie was able to resolve their issues at that time and it turned out now that they became best of friends. He said, “Mula noon, sobrang close na kami. Ang liit-liit ng industriya para lumikha ka ng kaaway, tapos ikaw din ang yuyuko pag nakasalubong mo kasi ayaw mo makita, di ba?”
He shared that he was also the one who helped Navarro before meet his eldest child with a former partner. Moreover, they both stand as godfathers of each other’s child.
