Here’s the reaction of Ogie Diaz to what happened at Angel Locsin’s community pantry
Netizens bashed comedian-talent manager Ogie Diaz due to his comment on Angel Locsin’s post regarding the unexpected death of an old man at the community pantry she organized.
Angel intended to give back to celebrate her birthday this year. With the intention to provide food for less fortunate Filipinos amid the pandemic, the actress also initiated her own community pantry.
However, an unexpected incident happened when an old man died. With this, Angel apologized and took the responsibility for what happened. Several celebrities showed support for her.
She garnered admiration for facing this problem with compassion, especially towards the family of the old man who died. However, there was one comment from a celebrity that did not sit well with many netizens.
It was from Ogie Diaz and apparently, he already deleted the said comment but netizens were able to have the screenshot of what he wrote. Several Twitter users shared the screenshot of his comment and because of this, the name of the comedian-talent manager became one of the trending topics.
The screenshot showed that Ogie wrote this comment regarding the death of the old man: “Angel, di mo kasalanan. Kasalanan yan ng sitwasyon. At nakatakdang magbuwis ng buhay si tatay para maiparating and mensahe sa taumbayan at gobyerno.”
Netizens slammed him for he was sort of saying that the old man was a “sacrificial lamb”. There were also those who said that Ogie has the audacity to point a finger at the government because of what happened. Here are some of the tweets.
One netizen even said that Ogie Diaz has the same line of thinking as his “alaga” Liza Soberano who also said that Angel Locsin does not need to apologize.
