PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Thursday (April 22)

The state weather bureau PAGASA released the latest update about Typhoon Bising, which is expected to bring rainy conditions over some parts of the country.

On Thursday (April 22, 2021), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather updates in the country. Typhoon Bising would continue to affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA said that the typhoon was last located at 350 kilometers east of Calayan, Cagayan. Bising has maximum sustained winds of 150 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 185 kph.

Bising has slightly weakened while traveling over the Philippine Sea of Babuyan Islands. It is expected to move away from Luzon’s landmass before moving east-northeastward on weekend.

The weather disturbance would bring cloudy weather conditions with scattered rains and thunderstorms to the Cordillera Administrative Region, the rest of Cagayan Valley, Ilocos Norte, Nueva Ecija, and Aurora.

The localized thunderstorms would bring partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with isolated rainshowers over Metro Manila and the remaining parts of the country. Flooding and landslides are expected during severe thunderstorms.

The weather agency also warned the public to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods and landslides during moderate to at times heavy rains.
