PAGASA Says Severe Tropical Storm Bising Enters PAR

PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Updates for Friday (April 16)

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the severe Tropical Storm Bising has entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

On Friday (April 16, 2021), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather updates in the country. Severe Tropical Storm Bising would affect the country’s weather condition.

Severe Tropical Storm “Surigae” has maximum sustained winds of 110 kilometers per hour (kph) and gustiness of 135 kph moving 10 kph westward. Bising entered PAR around 6:20 am.

The weather disturbance would bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers over the rest of Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro.

Bising’s trough would also bring cloudy weather conditions with rain showers over Eastern Visayas and Mindanao regions.

The localized thunderstorms would bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers over Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Aurora, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Abra, Benguet, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union and Pangasinan.

Tropical Storm Bising

PAGASA said that Bising has slight chance of making a landfall although it may develop into a typhoon.

Meanwhile, Luzon would have generally fair weather condition with slightly cloudy to cloudy conditions and chances of isolated rain showers.
