PAGASA Says Trough of Tropical Storm To Bring Rains Over Most Parts of PH

PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Thursday (April 15)

The state weather bureau PAGASA said that the trough of the tropical storm would bring rains over most parts of the country.

On Thursday (April 15, 2021), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather updates in the country. The trough of Tropical Storm Surigae would affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that Tropical Storm Surigae has been last located at 1,140 kilometers east of Mindanao. The storm has maximum sustained winds of 85 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 106 kph.

The tropical storm’s trough would bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers over Metro Manila and the remaining parts of the country. Possible flash floods or landslides are also expected during severe thunderstorms.

The weather agency reported that Surigae would continue to move north-northwestward or northward and would intensify into a typhoon by Friday (April 16).

The localized thunderstorms would also bring the same weather condition over Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Aurora, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Abra, Benguet, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union and Pangasinan.

The entire Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro would also experience the same weather condition.

Meanwhile, the coastal water conditions over Northern Luzon, Aurora Province, Manila, entire Visayas, Occidental Mindoro, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands and the remaining parts of the country would be slight to moderate.
