Ayuda Distribution In Bulacan Only 2.5% Complete Says Official

Officials Only 2.5% Done With Ayuda Distribution In Bulacan

AYUDA DISTRIBUTION IN BULACAN – With nearly three million residents in Bulcan Province, officials say it may take until May 6 to complete distribution of the P1,000 cash aid.

Amid the lockdown within the NCR Plus Bubble, the government allocated a P1,000 cash aid for poor families. However, due to the number of residents in Bulacan, only 2.5 percent of the P2.9 billion have been distributed.

Furthermore, Reiner Grospe, the information officer of the Department of Social Welfare and Development in Central Luzon said beneficiaries in various town had yet to receive their financial aid.

Meanwhile, among the first to receive the ayuda were 33,797 residents from 10,316 families in Bocaue, Bustos, Donya Remedios Trinidad, Marilia, Norzagaray, Plaridel, Pulilan, San Miguel, and Obando. Likewise, residents from the cities of Meycauayan and San Jose del Monte also received their cash aid.

Back in March 28, Metro Manila, Bulacan, Rizal, Laguna, and Cavite were placed under an enhanced community quarantine. But, as COVID-19 cases began to drop, these provinces were reverted into a less strict modified enhanced community quarantine.

Although only P1,000 cash aid is given, a family with more than three members can be given a cash-aid each with a maximum of P4,000.
