Richard Yap Reveals Struggles After He Tested Positive For COVID-19

Richard Yap also had his COVID-19 battle

Kapuso actor Richard Yap revealed the struggles he went through after he tested positive for COVID-19 early last year.

Richard shared this in a recent interview on 24 Oras. He said that he got infected early last year when the Philippines was just starting its fight against the virus. Recalling that time, the actor said that it was really difficult to handle because of various reasons.

I was one of the firsts who got it siguro. Ang hirap because at that time wala pang mga gamot ‘tsaka walang pwedeng mag-asikaso sa ‘yo. You have to be all by yourself,” he shared.

At that time, the country was just starting to try different approaches to deal with the problem and there was no enough information yet.

So psychologically, it was really very hard. There was nothing I could do but pray,” Richard Yap said. Just like other people who got infected, the actor said that he tried to be strong amid the pandemic, especially that some of his friends also got infected and some lost their lives.

Richard said that it is really bothering since the people he knew who died of COVID-19 were still young. Fortunately, he was able to survive the fatal virus. With this, the actor said that he doing his best to boost his immune system in order to stay strong and healthy.

He is taking a proper diet and he also works out regularly. One reason for his working out routine is his upcoming TV series with Kapuso Queen of Creative Collaboration Heart Evangelista.

Richard Yap said that one of the preparations that he is doing for the I Left My Heart In Sorsogon series is losing weight since his leading lady is petite.
