Actor Richard Yap has this clarification regarding his statement that GMA-7 is a “more stable network”.

When he was finally announced as one of the newest Kapuso talents, Richard was asked about his network switch. In a previous report, it was revealed that the actor also received offers from other networks.

However, Richard Yap chose the “more stable network” and it is GMA-7. In line with this, it is inevitable for some to think that he was comparing his former home network to the new one.

The actor clarified, based on the article from PEP, that ABS-CBN was not included when he said “other networks”.

“I just said, iyong iba were doing blocktiming, iyong iba were just starting up. So it would be difficult for them to compete with GMA, which was more established,” Richard said.

He added that it was impossible that the Kapamilya network will offer him since it already ended its contract with him.

“I said na it was the easiest decision for me to go to the Kapuso network because they were more stable compared to the other networks who offered me,” Richard Yap stressed.

He also said that he will not put down ABS-CBN because the is grateful to the TV network. “At saka if you see the interview, makikita mo naman talagang I never mentioned na ABS iyon,” the actor added.
