Rica Peralejo shared this heartwarming post for her late father
Former actress Rica Peralejo recalled the letter that she received from her father 20 years ago as she is honoring him for his birthday.
In one of the recent IG posts of Rica, she shared a throwback photo with her father Ricardo. Although she is not active in showbiz anymore, the former actress still has many followers, especially on her YouTube channel.
Many netizens noticed this recent post of Rica about her father. “Today is my Papa’s birthday. He is no longer on earth and I am with hope to see him in heaven,” she started her caption.
Then, she said that although her Papa was not perfect, he left her beautiful things that she will forever treasure, just like her name and the fundamental things she needed to enrich her faith.
Rica Peralejo also highlighted the sorrows that her father had behind his smiles. “Many times I have heard him say sorry. Like I said, not a perfect Papa, but my heart knew he was sorry to be that way and wished he [was] better,” he shared.
This taught Rica the essence of understanding that one cannot make everything right. “It is a whole lot helpful to be sorrowful and to communicate that wrong things have sad consequences,” the former actresses.
She also recalled the letter that her father gave her two decades ago. “His letter. He wrote me for a retreat I went to in 2001,” she said.
Rica shared that in the letter, her father celebrated her. She added that her father had said the things that he probably could not say to her in person. “I am so glad my Papa diligently wrote these things,” she said.
