More than a week ago, the Philippines started recording higher cases of COVID-19 daily. The spike prompted the government and the authorities to strengthen the fight against the pandemic.

PH is one of the over 200 countries and territories that are battling against the COVID-19 pandemic now. Previously, the World Health Organization (WHO) warned that nations must not put their guards down early to prevent a 2nd wave of the disease.

Even WHO was alarmed by how fast COVID-19 has spread across nations last year. The pandemic has shaken the healthcare systems of several countries across the globe.
