Authorities Caught Minors, Adults & Parents Swimming in Cavite During Easter Weekend Amid Lockdown

Minors, adults and even parents have been caught swimming at the bay of Bacoor, Cavite during Easter weekend amid COVID-19 pandemic.

The Bacoor City Agriculture Office-Deputy Fish Warden (DFW) at ng Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Bacoor conducted an operation on Sunday (April 4, 2021) and caught over 44 minors and 10 adults violating the health protocols during the Easter weekend.

The sea patrolers from the city agricultural office and coast guard brought the quarantine violators in their respective villages for disciplinary actions. Bacoor is under enhanced community quarantine, which prohibits teens aging 15 years old and below to go outside.

Agricultural technologist-fishery law enforcement Joshua Villaluz said that the group is just planning to warn the residents that swimming in coastal areas is strictly prohibited amid lockdown. The group notice the massive amount of residents in the area without wearing face masks.

The authorities brought the offenders in their villages; Zapote 5, Zapote 1 and Digman. The enforcers also let the barangay decide to give the corresponding sanctions and penalties to the violators.

DFW at PCG continue to road around the coastal areas to remind the public to follow the health protocols. Fishermen are the only allowed to go on coastal areas amid lockdown.
