70 COVID-19 Protocol Violators Arrested In Caloocan City, Quezon City

COVID-19 PROTOCOL VIOLATORS – About 70 COVID-19 health protocol violators were arrested in the cities of Caloocan and Quezon.

According to a report from GMA News, about 47 people, among them include three minors, were caught for violating curfew in Caloocan City.

The curfew has been implemented in Caloocan since March 10. The violators, however, claim that they were unaware of the updated measure.

They were taken to the holding area of the Philippine National Police – Caloocan, where they were oriented once more on the current protocols.

On the other hand, there were those who were caught in a drinking session, while others were apprehended while on their way home.

Based on the report, there are currently 648 active cases in the city.

The Metro Manila Council is set to enact uniform curfew hours from 10 PM to 5 AM in the capital region starting March 15, Monday, amid the rise of COVID-19 cases.

In Quezon City, over 30 people were arrested for violating protocols, among them include liquor ban and curfew.

The Quezon City Task Force Disiplina issued tickets to the violators.

The task force urged residents to strictly observe health protocols. There are 2,991 active cases of COVID-19 in QC.
