2 Lineman of ILECO 1 Got Electrocuted While Repairing Electricity Lines
Two lineman of ILECO 1 got electrocuted while repairing the electricity lines in Barangay 9 Poblacion, Tigbauan, Iloilo.
A Filipino citizen named Steven N. Via Leo Solinap has shared the video footage of two lineman of Iloilo 1 Electric Cooperative Inc. after they’ve got electrocuted while repairing the lines of electricity in the area.
In the video, it can be seen that the linemen’s colleagues helped to put down the bodies of the victims from the electrical post. The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) Tigbauan immediately respond to the incident.
One of the linemen lost his consciousness and immediately rushed to the nearest hospital while his colleague suffered wounds but now in stable condition after receiving first aid.
According to the investigation result of the authorities, the linemen were transferring the cable lines from an old electric pole to a new pole when electricity suddenly flowed, which caused the electrocution.

The authorities also found out that the area is suffering blackout during the time of the incident. They were still investigating to identify the root of the incident.
