Netizen Exposes Fake Delivery Worker Trying to Deliver Fake Parcel

A fake delivery worker has been exposed after trying to deliver a fake parcel and scam an observant netizen.

The Facebook page “Sigaw Ng Bataan” has shared the sentiments of a netizen who almost fell into the scheme of a fake delivery employee. The post garnered various reactions from the online community.

An unidentified customer narrated that someone arrived at their home claiming to be from Shopee and delivering a parcel worth P3499. The package contains its name and address only with no barcode and details from the seller.

The netizen said that none of its family members ordered the parcel. The latter told the delivery guy to cancel the order and the culprit walked away. They tried to follow the suspect and found that it has a colleague driving a motorcycle.

The disappointed customer warned the public to be more aware of similar types of modus operandi victimizing the innocent ones. The latter advised the Filipino people to check for the actual barcode and complete information of the parcel before accepting it.

“NICE TRY SCAMMER!! GUYS PLEASE BE AWARE.

Around 2:30PM Someone claiming to be from Shopee delivered a parcel at our house, THANKFULLY ako ang lumabas after the doorbell. He then handed me over a parcel with actual shopee plastic wrap amounting to P3499 with only my name and our address. Incomplete pa nga. NO CONTACT # NO SHOPEE BARCODE STICKER, NO ANYTHING, just my plain written name and INCOMPLETE address. I personally have multiple orders pending to be delivered but i am always familiar with the amount so then when he said 3499 i’m like what? Not familiar.

I immediatey locked the door then pasok ako sa house asked mama and kuya to pause the netflix then i told them na scammer yung nasa labas. My heart was racing by then kasi Im familiar with the modus but im slightly uneasy na baka yung scammer my phd sa pagiging actual holdaper din kaya ayokong i hand over pabalik yung parcel haha.

Fast forward pag labas ko. I told him wala akong ganitong binili online. Then he immediately replied “cancel nalang sir” tapos he’s pretending to take picture of me which is protocol for online shopping so i took advantage and took a picture of him too.

A seconds after he left sinundan namin sya. Wala syang motor or anything din. And from our house going to pa bodega sya dumaan so ang layo ng nilakad and pinanggalingan nya pa. Then may sumundo sa kanyang rider sa malayo which parang nakakatunog na sinundan sila kasi lingon na ng lingon.

Thats it.. Thank you Lord sobra i mean what are the chances in our house na ako ang mag rereceive ng parcel then sakin pa naka name? Ang liit sobra haha!

FOR EVERYONE’S INFO – The actual modus is like this. Perfect target ang house na may ibang kasama like your siblings or parents or what na from previous deliveries may history sa mga rider na COD but instead iba’t ibang member of the family ang nakaka receive and nagbabayad. Everyone in our family does online shopping and pay each others deliveries kahit na hindi na iniinform sinong actual member of the family kasi sanay na kami whomever ang madatnan lang sa baba.

So if ang lumabas to receive the parcel is other member of the family and not me, nascam kami ng 3499. Classic 99 haha

Imagine, if your house always does online shopping pero ang history is its always the receiver who actually does receive the item then you are not a good target. Their prime target are your clueless members of the family.

Im not generalizing delivery riders pero most likely the only way for them to know that our delivery buying behavior is like this wherein iba iba nag rereceive and pay, is for someone to tip of these types of people.

Please be aware. If binibilin sa iba ang pag rereceive ng deliveries, ALWAYS LOOK for actual BARCODE with name and complete info on it.. Otherwise reject it.
