10 Food Delivery Riders Express Dismay After Scammed in Las Piñas City

Over 10 food delivery riders have been victimized by a fake booking at a house in Pilar Village, Las Piñas City.

A Facebook user named Natalie dela Cruz reported that several online food delivery riders have been scammed by a certain AJ Pande. The heartless customer used the food delivery service application to scam the riders.

Dela Cruz saw more than 10 delivery workers crowded in front of a house in Pilar Village. The culprit gave various contact numbers but gives the same address to the poor delivery employees.

“Nakwento sakin ng mga rider na pinick up po nila sa seller ‘yung order ni AJ pande. Paiba-iba ‘yung contact number na binigay ni AJ pero same address,” dela Cruz said.

Eventually, the Food Panda employees and other food delivery workers discovered that there was no AJ Pande living in the address.

Last May 2020, a lot of delivery workers and restaurant owners have been scammed by the same scheme amid the Enhanced Community Quarantine. Numerous riders have been victimized by fake bookings over the past few years.
