Sen. Manny Pacquiao, the acting national party of PDP-Laban, reacted on the call of some of his party mates for Pres. Duterte to run for vice president. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the boxer-turned-senator said that the resolution was beyond their knowledge and it did not have their blessing.

Pacquiao also mentioned PDP-Laban’s vice president, energy chief Alfonso Cusi, warning him about the matter. Based on the report, Cusi defended that he was not behind the talks in their party about the next elections. He stressed that the discussion was initiated by their party mates during the consultative meeting held last March 8.

Furthermore, Cusi stressed that he was not behind the resolution urging Pres. Duterte to run for vice president in the next election as it was supposedly a product of the consensus. PH House Deputy Speaker Eric Martinez clarified that it was just a draft resolution and it wasn’t final.
