ISKO MORENO – Actor turned Manila Mayo Isko Moreno has this intriguing “nabili na yun” statement after being pressed for presidential candidacy in the upcoming elections.
Among the top 5 possible presidential bets for the upcoming May 2022 elections conducted last November and December 2020 is Manila Mayor Isko Moreno. The next election is fast approaching and when it comes to deciding if he will push through a plan to run for the presidency, he is thinking about this thoroughly.
Octa Research of the National Capital Region (NCR) did a presidential survey last December 9-13, 2020, and Mayor Isko topped the list. Tied in second place are former Senator Bongbong Marcos and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio and the other bets are Grace Poe, Bong Go, and Manny Pacquiao.
During an interview in a forum, the mayor admitted that he is among the politicians who also aims to get the “highest position” in the government. He said, “Lawyers want to be chief justice, doctors want to be directors of hospitals… you always aim for the number one. So I think, kami ring mga pulitiko, nasa likod ng mga isipan namin [ang presidency], and I’m one of those.”
When it comes making the announcement, he assured that he will be decisive and get straight to the point if he wants to or not. He will make sure to not put the people in the waiting game and said, “Hindi ko gagawin yung kunwari ayaw pero gusto, nabili na yun, e.”
The Manila als expressed his amusement over the fact that someone like him who is a “basurero” in the past would be this person today. Being a mayor is already a big blessing to him. He said, “Salamat sa inyo. I am really grateful.”
