Vice Pres. Robredo Tells Filipinos Not to Be Complacent
ROBREDO – Vice President Leni Robredo gave a message to the Filipino people amid the ongoing fight of the Philippines against COVID-19.
The COVID-19 pandemic has affected more than 200 countries and territories across the globe. This disease which started spreading among countries in 2020 has brought changes to many nations.
The Philippines is one of the countries that logged cases of COVID-19 – and is still fighting against the pandemic now. Community quarantine measures are still up in the country.
Nowadays, everyone must wear a face mask and practice social distancing when going outdoors. Most establishments most especially shopping malls also require a face shield for entry apart from a face mask.
The education system is currently implementing blended learning in teaching the students. Modules and online classes are the ways of education now.
There are still fresh cases of COVID-19 recorded daily. Meanwhile, the vaccination program has already started and many healthcare workers have already received the vaccine against the virus.

Health workers are the top priority in the vaccination program. Doses of China’s Sinovac and AstraZeneca have arrived in the country.
Amid the Philippines’ fight against COVID-19 and the rolling out of the vaccine against the disease, Vice Pres. Leni Robredo told Filipinos not to be complacent although there is already a vaccine.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Vice Pres. Robredo expressed that the rollout of the COVID-19 vaccine is not widespread that is why Filipinos must still follow strict health protocols.
“Kaya iyong sa atin lang sana hindi maging kampante, kahit po may bakuna na… Hindi pa naman malawakan iyong rollout, huwag tayong mag-relax ng ating mga health protocols,” she expressed.
The Vice President also added that the areas identified by the OCTA Research Group as high risk must be extra vigilant. The body identified a faster surge of the disease in Metro Manila compared last year.
