2 Constructions Workers Stabbed by a Drunk Clan After They Run Amok

A painter and his nephew, both construction workers in Bulacan suffered from severe wounds after being stabbed by a drunk clan who runs amok.

In a report of Remate, a 40-year-old painter is in critical condition while his nephew, a construction worker, was injured after a clan who were allegedly drunk ran amok and stab them in Bustos, Bulacan.

The victims were identified as Jonathan Mabanta, 25, and Percibal Mabanta, 40, both residents of Barangay Poblacion. One of the four suspects, Michael Morelos, 47, was arrested while three relatives, Marlon Morelos, Aaron Morelos, and Marwin Morelos, escaped.

According to the Bustos Police report, the incident of stabbing took place around 9:30 pm in Brgy. Poblacion. Jonathan said in a statement that he was inside the house when he heard his father, Joseph, shouting.

“Hoy magdahan-dahan kayo, ‘yung bata masasagasaan n’yo na, para kayong nang-aasar at pabalik-balik kayo!” Joseph said.

However, the suspects got angry and said “Kanina ka pa, hindi naman ikaw ang sinisita namin?” until it leads to a heated argument after Percibal allegedly reprimanded the suspects.

Vanessa Garcia, the witness, said the suspects only turned their anger to the victims after being scolded as they went back and forth and tried to hit the child because of their enemies in the area.

She added that when the suspects returned she saw Morelos father and son stabbing the victims. Village Captain Chito Hernandez said he saw someone running with a knife.

They responded immediately that caught Michael Morelos, who was chasing with a knife and carrying the steel. The stabbing incident resulted to Percibal’s critical condition while Jonathan suffers a stab wound.

Based on the report, Percibal broke his head and suffer deep cuts on his back which his other internal parts of the body allegedly went out. The victim is currently in the hospital for serious treatment and unassured if he could survive.

Jonathan, meanwhile, returned home after sustaining back and head injuries. Police are continuing their follow-up operation to arrest the suspects.
