Motorist Stabbed LTO Personnel While Conducting Checkpoint in Cabadbaran

A Land Transportation Office (LTO) personnel in Cabadbaran City, Mindanao was stabbed by a motorist while conducting checkpoint.

According to the Cabadbaran City Police Office, the LTO personnel sustained minor injuries after he luckily escaped from being tried to stab by motorist during a checkpoint in Brgy. Comagascas.

PNP Cabadbaran said the suspect told them that he stopped because there was a checkpoint. However, he still seemed to be approached by the LTO personnel and lead into an argument.

As a result, the heated argument resulted in a stabbing because the suspect who is allegedly a farmer was carrying a knife. The LTO personnel called the police and they responded and arrested the suspect.

For now, they plan to release the detainee after LTO personnel refused to blotter the incident. According to PNP Cabadbaran, the suspect had a violation because he was not wearing a helmet.
