Health Secretary Duque to Vaccination of Health Workers: ‘Huwag magduda’

Health Chief Francisco Duque III asked the health workers to COVID-19 vaccine shot and told them ‘Huwag magduda’.

On Tuesday (March 2, 2021), the Department of Health secretary urged the medical workers to get vaccinated by the COVID-19 vaccine shots to protect themselves against the coronavirus disease.

Duque told the health personnel to stop doubting the quality and the efficacy of the vaccine. He also claimed that the available vaccine being distributed by the Philippine government is the best ones.

“I beg of our healthcare workers, magpabakuna na po tayo. Huwag na po tayo magduda o magalinlangan o magkaroon ng agam-agam dahil ang pinakamagandang bakuna ay iyong andito na. Ginagawa ng gobyerno nagpupursige, nagpupunyagi para makapasok ang bakuna na aangkatin,” Duque said.

The health chief appealed to improve the quality of service for the Filipino people whether they are COVID patients or not. He also claimed that the agency’s number one concern is the safety of the public.

The DOH secretary said that the agency need to vaccinate around 1.7 million healthcare workers and urged them to grab the opportunity.

The Philippine government would administer the Sinovac vaccine shots to around 216,000 individuals over Metro Manila, Baguio City, Ilocos, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, and Bicol.
