Why KC Concepcion felt “hiyang-hiya” during this encounter with a Korean actor
Actress KC Concepcion revealed that she had an embarrassing moment with this South Korean actor.
KC is not just an actress and an entrepreneur. She also has advocacy that she fights in order to help the less fortunate. The daughter Sharon Cuneta and Gabby Concepcion is a goodwill ambassador of the United Nations-World Food Programme (UN-WFP) since 2007.
She went to Hong Kong in December of 2008 for the Clinton Global Initiative Asian General Meeting led by former United States President Bill Clinton.
KC Concepcion and South Korean actor Jang Dong Gun were both invited for the closing ceremony of the event. In her recent vlog, the actress shared one of the most unforgettable encounter she had that made her feel embarrassed.
Her embarrassing story popped up as she was talking about her perfume collection. She recalled that moment when she was put in an awkward situation because of her perfume.
KC said that she wanted to impress Dong Gun and so she sprayed all over her body, including her purse, that unnamed perfume which was newly bought at that time.
“Sabi ko, ‘totodo ko na ‘to.’ Kasi mahaba pa yung gabi ko. Totodo ko na ‘to! Kailangan mabangung-mabango ako. Kailangan maalala niya [Dong Gun] talaga ako,” she shared.
When she entered the elevator to go to the venue of the event, Jang Dong Gun and former President Clinton were already there. After she entered and the elevator closed, the South Korean actor started coughing.
“Pag press ko ng elevator… sila yung laman ng elevator. Alam niyo ba, hiyang-hiya talaga ako. Sabi ko [sa sarili ko], ‘shet, ang bango ko!’” KC said and she even reenacted how the actor coughed.
She added, “So, naubo siya and then hindi niya ako pinansin.” Based on the article in PEP, KC Concepcion and Jang Dong Gun shared the stage during that event. The actress also shared that she hated that perfume since then.
