Kakai Bautista Finally Reacts After Joy Barcoma Comparison Goes Viral
KAKAI BAUTISTA – The comedian has spoken out after being compared online to Miss Earth Philippines 2025 Joy Barcoma following a social media controversy.
The issue began after Joy Barcoma appeared to react to Kakai’s defense of courtside reporter Apple David, who received criticism over her relationship with 18-year-old Chad Gammad. In an earlier post on X, Joy suggested that being compared to Kakai had become something she would now find offensive, drawing attention from many social media users.
During her guest appearance on Ogie Diaz Inspires, Kakai addressed the comparison with a positive attitude. She said she was not offended and instead took it as a compliment, praising Joy as both beautiful and intelligent.

Kakai also explained why she defended Apple David. She said her Facebook comment was only a casual reaction after seeing people criticize Apple online and was never meant to start an argument. As the issue gained more attention, she looked into the matter and found no public record of any legal case filed against Apple. Because of this, she believes people should avoid making judgments without first checking the facts.
Apple David became a trending topic after posting a photo with Chad Gammad while hiding his face. The criticism grew after many online users interpreted her statements as defending their relationship.

Kakai also warned that she is prepared to take legal action against people who spread false or defamatory content about her. She reminded content creators and social media users that online posts are covered by the Cybercrime Prevention Act and that harmful or misleading statements can have legal consequences.
She ended by encouraging everyone to be responsible when using social media. According to Kakai, people should verify information before criticizing others, avoid spreading false claims, and make sure they understand the full story before expressing opinions online. She stressed that responsible posting can help prevent misinformation and unnecessary online conflict.
